
Goals from Billy Shulver and Gianni Frankis have broken a club record on an extraordinary day for Benfleet as we beat Walsham-le-Willows by two goals to one yesterday.

Over 100 supporters made the hour-and-a-half journey to cheer on the boys in light blue, which made all the difference to the team as they stormed past Walsham-le-Willows, arguably the better team from kick off through to the final whistle.
A late penalty set up a tense finish, but we were comfortable throughout the game, and deserved to make it through to the third round for the first time in the club's 103 year history.
The next round draw is announced at 1pm on Monday and we're very much hoping for a home draw!
