The Premier League Trophy is coming to Benfleet FC for Non-League Day!
On Saturday 22 March, the Premier League Trophy will be at Benfleet’s Woodside Stadium for the club’s Essex Senior League fixture against FC Clacton.
This is a great opportunity for fans and locals to get a rare, close up look at the famous trophy and to take photos with it before the match kicks off at 12:00.
Benfleet FC has received £148,000 investment from the Premier League Stadium Fund towards its refurbished home ground, including new spectator accommodation, dugouts, fencing and energy- efficient LED floodlights.
This is the club’s first season back at the Woodside Stadium following promotion as champions from Step 5 Eastern Counties League First Division South last season.
Now celebrating its 25th anniversary year, the Premier League Stadium Fund has supplied more than £207 million, since 2000, to upgrade infrastructure at over 1,000 men’s and women’s clubs throughout the English Football League, National League and football pyramid.
The Premier League is investing £1.6 billion into football and communities throughout England and Wales across three seasons (2022 to 2025).
Non-League Day, which began in 2010, is an annual celebration of the football pyramid which encourages as many fans as possible to support their local non-league sides on a weekend of international football where there is no Premier League or Championship action.
